Reporting Responsibilities
Reports to	Head, Transportation & Logistics
Supervises (Job Titles)	Fleet Team, Mail Room Clerks

 

Job Objective(s)

Repair/routine maintenance of the Bank’s Fleet. Allocation and re-allocation of vehicles to branches and departments. Renewal of vehicle licenses, hackney permit, roadworthiness etc. Vehicle inspection and monitoring. Funding of the Total Fuel cards Funding of the fleet management cards Supervising the Bank’s drivers

 

Specific Roles and Responsibilities

FINANCIAL Ensure all budgeted items are not exceeded. PROCESS  Development, Management and Administration of transport programs and systems  Management of Drivers    Investigation and reporting of all/attempted security breaches in conjunction with Internal Control. Provision of professional guidelines and make input into the administration and acquisition of vehicles and motorbikes. Liaison with vendors, Insurance Company and other relevant authority e.t.c. CUSTOMER  All Staff, Branches and Depts., Service Workshops Vendors TEAM     Motivate, share ideas and provide on-the-job training for the entire Ecobank Business Services Staff Manage and supervise Transport functions for the Bank.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS Perspective Objective Measures Customer Franchise Exceed Customer Expectation Response Time to Deadlines and effective operational Discipline Customer Franchise Exceed Customer Expectation Effective management of transport vendors and resolution of transport related issues Customer Franchise Exceed Customer Expectation Number of transport breaches due to improper handling of vehicles Customer Franchise Exceed Customer Expectation Number of reported vehicle accidents Process Effective Strategic Input Ability to interpret and implement strategy to achieve departmental goals  Process Effective Business Support Quality of strategic support to the business Process Minimize Operational Losses Branches with full security complement/total number of branches Process Minimize Operational Losses Conduct regular inspection of vehicles Process Minimize Operational Losses Number of accident incidents due to improper counseling and training of drivers People Training and Development Attend 3 Internal/External training programs.

 

Job Requirements
Education	A Good University degree with a minimum of 2:2  Possession of a professional certificate in transport management will be considered an advantage
Work Experience	Minimum of 2 years working experience in transport/fleet management of a commercial Bank and/or other corporate organization.
Skills	Sound core transportation operation skills Strong interpersonal skills High motivation and negotiation skills Flexible and willing to accept challenges and work under pressure with minimal supervision Leadership / Supervisory Analytical/problem solving skill Computer appreciation (word- processing/Spreadsheet/PowerPoint) Excellent customer service orientation
Knowledge	Strong safety/security knowledge Knowledge of banking operations
Personalities and attributes	Paying attention to details Positive “can do” attitude Goal driven and result oriented
